one can have no greater mastery than mastery over one’s self.

Cal Arnold is the founder and visionary behind BTI Log Home Care in Bozeman, MT, a thriving, vertically integrated company with dozens of employees.

But the company began as a humble soda blasting company he acquired with his brother over 20 years ago, fresh out of high school.

His life's work revolves around investing in exceptional people and embracing the philosophy encapsulated in his mantra,
"Better. Just be better."

At that time, Cal had chosen a career in labor over traditional higher education. It was a path that initially filled him with a feeling of inferiority that may be familiar to many at that fork in the road.

But it was worth it.

His path taught him real life lessons through trial and adversity and brought him the understanding that experience and learning from screw-ups are the real gold to be mined from the craggy ore of life.

The blasting business was difficult… A fragile seed rooted in rocky soil. But with time, vision, and grit, he and his team painstakingly sculpted a stagnant operation into a powerhouse, acquiring competitors and integrating services to form the vertically-integrated, thriving log home care business it is today.

Today, with 8000% growth since his acquisition, BTI stands as a testament to entrepreneurial spirit, continuous improvement and a consistent focus on exceptional customer experience.

But BTI is only the beginning of Cal’s story.

His life's work revolves around investing in exceptional people and embracing the philosophy encapsulated in his mantra, “Better. Just be better."

In a time where mediocrity and attachment to comfort are bountiful, it has never been easier to stand out as exceptional, if only you’re willing to dig for the gold.

Cal is a student at heart.

You’ll find him in a room, surrounded by whiteboards, diving deep into leadership, the nuts and bolts of business, and how we as humans tick. He loves being surrounded by like-minded, hard-working people, learning, growing, and becoming great together.

Cal has focused his life’s mission on pushing boundaries in productivity and self-mastery, inspired by the quote, “One can have no smaller or greater mastery than mastery over oneself."

Cal has a deep love for the work force that makes this world turn. He believes that with consistent hard work, a good compass, and the tools needed to create exceptional value, we can create opportunities for employers and employees alike to succeed and thrive.

In a time where mediocrity and attachment to comfort are bountiful, it has never been easier to stand out as exceptional, if only you’re willing to dig for the gold.

And he's here to share the gold he has mined through a life of entrepreneurship, to help the next generation of go-getters achieve their potential. His goal is to spot those young, driven folks like he once was, and give them the chance to shine, learn, and develop under the mentorship of himself and his team.
